Pi Gamma

Welcome to Pi Gamma. Pi Gamma occasionally publishes philosophical pieces that deserve a little exposure. Originally, Pi Alpha (Philosophical Investigations) began its life under the Philosophical Society of England, as a collaborative knowledge work. Pi Beta was and is a reinvention of Pi Alpha, a more traditional philosophy page. This, at one point, rose to no. 7 in the UK. Pi Gamma began its life as a mirror of Pi Beta. It now contains an original set of 2015-2022 Pi Beta articles (many more than Pi Beta itself), and focuses on fresh material. Thomas O. Scarborough.

In the Name of Mercy

By Yahia Lababidi *

Mercy surrounds

the living and the dead,

the visible and the unseen,

the faithful

and those who have forgotten faith.

It breathes through creation,

the pulse

that sustains being.

To choose mercy

is to confess

every true act of justice

carries tenderness within it.

Judgement without compassion

turns to stone—

Creation begins

with a breath of mercy

the possibility

that the world endures

through its renewal.
